Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we warmly welcome you to the 23rd International Conference “New Cryogenic and Isotope Technologies for Energy and Environment” - EnergEn 2021, to be held in Băile Govora.
2021 is a very special year for ICSI and for Romania’s R&D energy transformation. On one hand we are celebrating 51 years of existence in the research scene and a new period is coming for the organisation with tremendous challenges into energy emergent technologies. Also, on the other hand, on the background of a pandemic time, we are forced to find and implement new solutions and strengthen new partnerships to create a “critical mass” of capabilities to approach these challenges.
The pandemic has forced us into a world only made possible through technology, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. I would rather see this as a unique opportunity, to restart our life systems and therefore also the energy area. Moreover, the new “Green” commitments taken by Europe is giving us the opportunity to act as a promoter in emergent technologies related to hydrogen, energy storage or environmental analysis.
The conference theme, “New energy technologies and their environmental impact: Going further onto Green life”, has been carefully chosen to mark such a milestone of our society. We are privileged to organize this important conference and create an opportunity to discuss and plan new projects into this pervasive topic.
This conference will be one for us to share our thoughts and exchange ideas on how to chart our journey forward to reach new targets.
We have an exciting program at this conference that will allow members to reflect upon and analyse our past achievements, renew friendships and extend our networks, and jointly explore current and future research projects. We hope that you will have a productive and fun‐filled time at this very special conference. The scientific program will be completed by exhibitors presenting latest equipment and services in the field of analytical science.
